Southeast Asian Peasant Culture : They are Intelligent Critics!

        When in conflict with landlords. Southeast Asian peasants did not protest using demonstrations. But they fight back in small but careful ways. Such as stealing, sabotaging the employer’s warehouse, slowing down work, pretending to be sick, pretending to be stupid, and gossiping to bring down the good name of their masters who oppress his life. 

In this way, the oppressed peasants declared their political presence and creating political space for people who are not considered (subaltern).
